Welcome to the MVLF 2022 Year In Review newsletter! 2022 brought us many blessings and we feel extremely grateful to serve and worship with the Miami Valley community. Key highlights from this past year that we'd like to cover in this newsletter are our growing Hope4Community program, expanding mentor/mentee network, team gatherings & events, and more.
We'd also like to give a special thank you to our team of faithful leaders and each partner, organization, church, and community member who supported MVLF this past year. Nothing we do is possible without you and we can't wait to see the impact we can make in 2023! |

Growing Hope4Community (H4C) Program |

In 2022, we were excited to highlight the amazing work being done in our H4C's: Hope4Miamisburg, Hope4Centerville, Hope4Kettering, Hope4WestCarollton, Hope4WestDayton, Hope4EastDayton and Hope4Riverside.
This past year, our H4C's have put on fundraisers, back to school bashes, school supply drives, cookouts, holiday gift shops, landscaping and trash pick-up days, and much more.
Thank you to everyone who supports these programs and works tirelessly to transform lives in the Miami Valley. |

In December, some of our mentors had a holiday party with their mentees! Throughout the year, they've engaged their mentees through time, support, encouragement, and play. We'd like to give a huge thank you to our mentors for their dedication and support to the youth in our community.
Every young person — from a first-grade student to a graduating high-school senior — wants to know they’re seen and known. And the power of a caring adult’s investment can do just that: remind them they’re important. |

We are so blessed to have such an amazing, dedicated team here at MVLF. Throughout 2022, we held and participated in countless gatherings & events to come together and carry out our mission and impact.
Events throughout the year included the Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County's "Mentoring and Re-Engagement: Coaching Re-Imagined" summit, our 1st Annual Golf Outing & Partner Appreciation event, Declare Dayton's downtown march and prayer service, our Youth Resilience Training event, team holiday parties, and last but not least, our Annual Celebration & Fundraising event! |
|
On November 10th, we hosted our annual celebration & fundraising event and we have so many people to thank for making it a huge success!
✨ Thank you to all the local businesses and partners who donated raffle gift baskets for our fundraiser. We were able to raise great money to go back to the community! ✨ Thank you to CityBBQ for not only catering, but for donating the evenings beverages ✨ And finally, thank you to our speakers Rob O'Leary (Vandalia Butler Schools Superintendent), Gary & Sylvia Miller (Northmont Schools' mentors, Rich Harmon (Hope4WestCarrollton Director) and Carl Enterman (West Carrollton City code enforcement department), and Steve Rudisill (Hope4Centerville Director) and and Lisa Magoffin (Fairhaven Church).
We're stronger together! |
