The “Circle of Courage” is a child rearing model and has four main components – Belonging, Mastery, Independence and Generosity. The components are in alignment with what modern psychologists are promoting for young people today.

Announcing Hope4Kettering!

Located southeast of the city, Kettering is the largest inner suburb of Dayton, OH. The city is rich with history, schools, families, churches, and community members, making it the perfect place for a Hope4Community (H4C).

How It Started

Hope4Kettering (H4K) was established in August of 2021 after numerous local schools and government officials reached out to the Miami Valley Leadership Foundation (MVLF) seeking support and resources. Tyler Trent, associate pastor of Lifepointe Church and Dayton native, took on the position of H4K Director in December of 2021, and has used his passion for giving back and unwavering faith in God to heed the call.

Since its inception in 2021, H4K has connected with over 25 partners including churches, schools, government officials, and organizations. Together, these partners have adopted elementary schools, provided food to residents, raised housing funds for struggling families, and placed countless school supplies in the classrooms of hardworking teachers.

H4K continues to expand and gain new partners, broadening their impact and touching the lives of countless individuals and families in Kettering, OH.

Announcing Hope4Centerville-Washington Township!

One of the core suburbs of Metropolitan Dayton, Centerville, OH was established in 1968 and is now home to over 23,000 residents. The city prides itself on its rich history, architectural beauty, and local museums. But more importantly, Centerville is most proud of its strong sense of community.

How It Started

Hope4Centerville-Washington Township (H4C-WT) was established in June of 2021 after seeing the immense impact Hope4WestCarrollton and Hope4Riverside were having in their communities. Steve Rudisill, lead pastor of The Point Church and member of the Gem City Church Collective, took on the position of H4C-WT Director in the summer of 2021 after attending their first meeting and feeling inspired to lead the group and maximize their impact in the community.

Since its inception, H4C-WT has connected with nearly 30 community partners including churches, schools, nonprofits, and local organizations. Together, these partners have worked to provide struggling families with school supplies, haircuts, and general healthcare needs. H4C-WT also believes that every child should experience the joy of Christmas, so they have partnered with Fairhaven Church to create a holiday storefront where families can shop for Christmas presents at a highly discounted or free rate.

H4C-WT continues to meet once a month to visit new opportunities for giving and partnership, as well as continue their positive impact on the families in Centerville, OH.
