One of the core suburbs of Metropolitan Dayton, Centerville, OH was established in 1968 and is now home to over 23,000 residents. The city prides itself on its rich history, architectural beauty, and local museums. But more importantly, Centerville is most proud of its strong sense of community.
How It Started
Hope4Centerville-Washington Township (H4C-WT) was established in June of 2021 after seeing the immense impact Hope4WestCarrollton and Hope4Riverside were having in their communities. Steve Rudisill, lead pastor of The Point Church and member of the Gem City Church Collective, took on the position of H4C-WT Director in the summer of 2021 after attending their first meeting and feeling inspired to lead the group and maximize their impact in the community.
Since its inception, H4C-WT has connected with nearly 30 community partners including churches, schools, nonprofits, and local organizations. Together, these partners have worked to provide struggling families with school supplies, haircuts, and general healthcare needs. H4C-WT also believes that every child should experience the joy of Christmas, so they have partnered with Fairhaven Church to create a holiday storefront where families can shop for Christmas presents at a highly discounted or free rate.
H4C-WT continues to meet once a month to visit new opportunities for giving and partnership, as well as continue their positive impact on the families in Centerville, OH.
